The first record of Bergamina lineolata (Chydoridae; Aloninae) from Colombia

Abstract The Neotropical freshwater cladoceran Bergamina lineolata (Sars, 1901) was found in a small temporal pond the Magdalena department. Hitherto, it has been reported Brazil and El Salvador. It originally described as Alonella by Sars, 1901 from then placed to genus Elmoor-Loureiro et al. (2013). This is first record of this species Colombia. B. can be identified unique combination characters including: 1) remarkably large oblong postabdomen, with three denticles on distal corner; 2) basal spine claw very short, length less than half diameter at base; 3) IDL two setae shorter ODL seta, armed fine setules unilaterally terminal half; 4) endite 1 trunk limb I long smooth seta between endites 2.
